Summer ain't summer without that pie...
So a pie is what we made, with the season's last cherries and the most beautiful nectarines and peaches you've ever seen. We really took our time with this one; selecting all the right ingredients and drinking lots of wine and well, documenting the whole thing. We took so much care that by the time it was done baking it was too dark to get a decent shot of our finished pie. But let me tell you, it was beautiful. And the taste? Just. Like. Summer.

Chicago, again, but hotter
Back in May I flew to Chicago to celebrate my dear, very dear friend's 30th birthday. It was a quick but wonderful weekend filled with picnics, cocktails, pizza, ice cream and laughs. Here's a small collection of photographs:
